Where not to park: Elm Street paving ramps up over next three weeks

MANCHESTER, NH – Monday, August 14, 2017 is the scheduled start for the milling and paving on Elm Street between Bridge Street and Old Granite Street begins. One half of the street and its parking will be closed each day and two-way traffic shifted to the opposite side of the street.

Saturday, August 26, 2017 is a busy day for the Elm Street Paving Project. Final paving operations will be taking place on Elm Street from Bridge Street to Old Granite Street from 2 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Traffic will be restricted during the operation with street closures and detours. It is anticipated that one side of Elm Street will be open after 9 a.m. and work completed by 12 p.m.

Please note that this work will cause delays, detours and the loss of parking spaces from Bridge Street to Old Granite Street.  Signage will be put in place for detours and Elm Street will be accessible from side streets and parallel streets.
