MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored four times in the bottom of the first inning, and rolled to a second consecutive win, 7-0, over Trenton on Friday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

John Anderson worked 5.2 scoreless innings for his first win of 2016. The southpaw allowed four hits, walked two and struck out five. Brady Dragmire and Colt Hynes finished up New Hampshire’s second shutout of the season.

In the bottom of the first, the Fisher Cats (4-3) sent nine men to the plate. Roemon Fields started the inning with a single, and Rowdy Tellez and KC Hobson drew walks to load the bases. Catcher Wilkin Castillo made it 2-0 with a single to right field. After Shane Opitz walked, Matt Dean singled home two runs for a 4-0 lead, chasing Thunder starter Eric Ruth (0-1).

The Fisher Cats extended the lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Fields doubled, Berti was hit by pitch and Mesa walked to load the bases again. Hobson ripped a two-run single plating Fields and Berti.

Berti tripled in the sixth inning, scoring on a base hit by Tellez to account for the final run against the Thunder (4-4).

The series continues Saturday at 5:35 p.m. RHP Jason Berken (0-1, 3.60) starts for the Fisher Cats and LHP Dietrich Enns (0-0, 0.00) is scheduled for the Thunder. Coverage with Ben Gellman begins at 5:15 p.m. on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network and at www.nhfishercats.com.
