MANCHESTER, NH Negotiators for the Manchester Board of School Committee and the Manchester Education Association released their most recent proposals earlier this week.

Special Committee on Negotiations Chairman Richard H. Girard said the committee’s pay raise and sick time proposals were presented at the negotiating session on September 11, 2019.  Rather than release them at that time, the committee agreed to withhold their release to provide the association with time to review and evaluate the proposals. He said they were further discussed with the MEA on September 25, 2019, in a meeting that included Superintendent Dr. John Goldhardt, MEA President Sue Hannan and MEA Vice-President Maxine Mosley.

At their most recent meeting on October 18, 2019, the MEA presented a series of language proposals addressing a variety of issues (see below). As the board’s negotiators were unprepared to discuss the proposals, the teams scheduled a subsequent meeting on November 1, 2019.
