This week, the Manchester South Little League and Manchester West Side Little League organizations announced that the two leagues will merge, effective immediately.

The new league will be called the Manchester NH Little League, joining the Manchester Central, Youngsville and North Manchester/Hooksett chapters of Little League Baseball inside the Queen City.

New Hampshire District One Little League Administrator Sally Dreckmann believes the merger will help both leagues grow the spirit of Little League Baseball by combining the human and capital resources of the two leagues.

“It’s going to be a great partnership between these two city leagues,” said Dreckmann. “(It) will result in a positive environment for our kids to play.”

The new merged league will also serve Litchfield and Londonderry.
