At approximately 7:22 p.m. officers from the Manchester Police responded to an accident in the area of 283 Varney St., which is close to where Varney Street and Mast Road intersect.  While officers were responding, Goffstown Police called into communications to make Manchester Police aware of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that just occurred in their town.  The vehicle that left the scene was a newer model white Chevy Corvette.  It turned out this vehicle was involved in the accident.

Officers on scene investigated the accident and spoke with witnesses.  They learned the Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed weaving through traffic south westerly on Mast Road when it struck the other vehicle involved.  The impact caused the vehicle to strike a telephone pole close by.  The driver of the Corvette attempted to leave the scene prior to the arrival of the officers, but witnesses detained him until police arrived.  There doesn’t appear to be any serious injury from the collision.

The investigation led to the arrest of Kevin Cullinane,  54,  of New Boston, who was the driver of the Corvette.  He is charged with Conduct After an Accident, Operating Under the Influence of Drugs (OUID), Reckless Operation.
