MANCHESTER, NH — At approximately noon on Feb. 10 Manchester Police responded to the area of West and Douglas streets where two groups of neighbors were arguing.  At one point a man, later identified as Matthew Parsons, of Manchester,   entered his address and when he came outside he was carrying a rifle, according to police, which he pointed at the three other people.

Parsons allegedly  went back inside the residence and then returned outside a second time, pointing the rifle at the group once again.  Then Parsons  fled the scene in his vehicle.

Independent witnesses provided a description of the suspect, which was consistent with what the investigation learned.  Parsons was located at an address in Goffstown,  and was later taken into custody by the Goffstown Police Department.

He was later transferred to the custody of the Manchester Police Department. He was charged with felony criminal threatening with a firearm.  The case remains open and under investigation and additional information may be released at a later date.
