Nashua High School South teacher arrested for sexting with students on Grindr

NASHUA, NHPolice say Bruce Lanctot, 40 a Nashua High School South teacher was sexting with students over the social media app Grindr, a mobile social network app exclusively for gay men.

Lanctot, 40 of Nashua, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited, class B felony, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class B felony, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanor, and one count of indecent exposure and lewdness, class A misdemeanor. Each class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in state prison.  He was released on $20,000 bail pending his arraignment.

Nashua Police said they got a report on Monday that Lanctot, a social studies teacher, had sent nude photos of himself to a student. During their investigation, they said several juvenile victims told them Lanctot contacted them over Grindr and identified  himself as a teacher at Nashua High School South and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with them.

Police said that in addition to sending nude photos, Lanctot asked to meet with them for sex, and solicited nude photos from at least one of the victims. Lanctot turned himself in to police on Wednesday after they obtained a warrant for his arrest. He is currently on paid administrative leave from the Nashua School District.

Nashua Police are asking anyone with further information regarding their investigation into Lanctot to contact them at (603)594-3500. Lanctot will be arraigned in Nashua Court on June 15.
