Motocyclist injured in collision at South Beech and Mitchell streets

MANCHESTER, NH – On Sunday June 3, 2018 at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers of the Manchester Police Department responded to the intersection of South Beech and Mitchell streets in reference to a serious motor vehicle accident.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Taurus, originally traveling north on S. Beech Street turned left and into the southbound lane in order to proceed west on Mitchell Street. At that point the Taurus collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling south on S. Beech Street.  The force of the collision resulted in the driver being thrown from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified at Kevin Pinet, 50, of Manchester, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Ford Taurus, Alex O’Connor, 20, also from Manchester, was not injured in the crash.

This incident remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Unit Collision Reconstruction and Analysis team.  Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
