The Manchester Monarchs won the second game of their series against the Norfolk Admirals, earning a 4-1 victory on Friday night.

Norfolk got onto the board after only 36 seconds thanks to a Thomas Schutt wrister, but Monarchs goalkeeper Evan Cowley shut down the Admirals the rest of the night to record his first win of the season.

Matt Marcinew collected two goals and two assists for the Monarchs while Tony Cameranesi and Kevin Morris also added goals for Manchester.

As in every other game so far this season, Manchester outshot Norfolk, 52-27. Coming into Friday, only Wheeling (Oct. 14, 53 shots) and Idaho (Oct. 27, 59 shots) recorded more shots on goal in a game.

Manchester (5-3-0-1) and Norfolk (2-7-0-0) are back on the ice Saturday, Nov. 4 (7 p.m.), when they complete their three-game set at Scope Arena.
