On Saturday, Feb. 9, the Monarchs will play the Cincinnati Cyclones with specially designed pink jerseys, a pink ice surface painted with messages of hope and inspiration and a pre-game ceremony honoring survivors of breast cancer.

Dr. Jessica Ryan, Medical Director of CMC’s Breast Care Center, noted the importance of the event’s importance for her organization.

“In the fight against breast cancer, no one fights alone,” said Ryan. “The evening is really about hope and support. We are excited not only to use the evening to honor breast cancer survivors, but for education purposes as well.”

Anyone seeking to write a message on the ice can do so by purchasing a “Pink Pack” before Wednesday. The Pink Pack also includes a ticket to a future Monarchs game in addition to a ticket to Saturday’s game and a t-shirt, with five dollars from each Pink Pack going to CMC’s Breast Care Center.

Pink Packs are available for sale at the Monarchs’ website.
