GLENS FALLS, N.Y. –  The Manchester Monarchs return to New Hampshire with a commanding 2-0 series lead in the ECHL North Division Semifinals, convincingly defeating the Adirondack Thunder 6-1 on Saturday.

A power play goal 4:48 into the contest from John Edwardh was the only crack Adirondack made in Manchester’s defense all night, with Tony Cameranesi tying things up shortly before the first intermission.

Nic Pierog put the Monarchs ahead 2:27 into the second period, with Kevin Dufour and Bokondji Imama increasing the lead before the end of the period.

Michael Doherty and Pavel Jenys added insurance goals in the third to seal the victory.

For the second straight game, Manchester netminder Charles Williams earned top star honors, raising his save percentage to an astounding 96.6 percent.

Game Three is now set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday at SNHU Arena.
