MANCHESTER, NH – A memorial fundraiser will be held May 11 to honor the memory of a Portland Pie Co. employee who recently lost her life to heroin.

Scott Hartford, General Manager of Portland Pie Co. in Manchester, contacted Stephanie Bergeron, Development Director for Serenity Place after one of his employees, Molly Parks, died of a heroin overdose on April 16. He wanted to organize a fundraiser to benefit the treatment program at Serenity Place, a community based addiction treatment and counseling agency for adult men and women 18 and older.

Together they helped organize a fundraiser involving four Portland Pie Co. locations, Manchester and Nashua in New Hampshire, and the Scarborough and Biddeford, Maine, restaurants, which will offer 10 percent of the day’s sales to Serenity Place. The event will include live music with six musical acts donating their talents, and raffles.
