MANCHESTER, NH —Thursday’s soft opening at The Missing Mason Jar drew a crowd of curiosity seekers looking for the next big Elm Street hot spot.

Formerly Spite, The Missing Mason Jar, at 941 Elm Street, hopes to fit that bill. Grand  opening will be June 17, but you can stop by any time to check out the changes of this rebrand. You’ll find a lighter atmosphere focused Southern comforts, from hand-crafted drinks and a fresh — not fried — food menu, to a subtle picnic theme, right down to the red-and-white checkerboard seat covers.

Jayce Longway explains the solitary goal of the waitstaff is to elevate the guest at every turn.

“There’s been aesthetic changes here, but the big thing we want to focus on is our mixology and clean food,” says Longway, meaning nothing fried and everything delicious.

Bartender Devante Parker says hopefully people will come for the atmosphere, stay for the unique food and drink menu, and then come back for more.
