MANCHSTER, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a work release inmate from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester was placed on escape status. Jeffrey Earl Heath, 47, left the Calumet House Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 4:30 a.m. to report to work. Inmate Heath failed to report to his place of work and did not return to Calumet House.
Heath is described as a white male, 67 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
Heath was sentenced in Hillsborough Superior Court on February 23, 2017 to a 1-2 year sentence for three counts of Tampering with Witnesses. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on February 23, 2017. He would have been eligible for release on parole on November 18, 2017 with a maximum release date of November 18, 2018.
The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
