MANCHESTER, NH – Mill Falls Charter School is holding its annual admission lottery enrollment period.

They will be serving nearly 170  students in grades K-6 in the 2015/16 school year. As a public charter school, this robust Montessori elementary education is available to NH residents, tuition free. New Hampshire’s first public Montessori charter school opened in Manchester in September 2012.

Information and 2015 Lottery Enrollment materials are available by clicking here.

Interested parents or guardians are  encouraged to attend one of the two remaining Lottery Information Sessions to learn first-hand more about the Montessori method, the goals and mission of Mill Falls, and about the school’s lottery enrollment process.

An information session was already held Jan. 28. The next two sessions are scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 9 a.m. and Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m.

All sessions will be held at the school, located at 100 William Loeb Drive, Manchester, NH.

Admission to the school is obtained via public lottery and is open to any child residing in New Hampshire, as per state law. It is not necessary to have previous Montessori school experience to attend Mill Falls.

Students must be 5 years old by September 30, 2015 to enroll in the kindergarten program. Families interested in enrolling their children are required to submit their children’s application materials by March 9, 2015.

Those without access to the web, are asked to call the school at 603.232.5176 for an application. Once received, enrollment materials will be entered into the public lottery that is scheduled for March 17, 2015.

The Lottery will be held for every grade level, but interested families should note that the majority of open spots will be in the Kindergarten classroom. Families with children entering grades 4, 5 and 6 in 2015 are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Wait lists for next year’s Lower Elementary Program are significant, built by previous lotteries.  To RSVP, please call or email the school 603.232.5176 or email admissions@millfalls.org.

Check the school website for weather-related changes, and to learn more about the Montessori method of education.

Mill Falls Charter School creates life-long learners by providing an intellectually rich and challenging experience delivered through the Montessori tradition. In a safe and peaceful setting, dedicated educators foster students’ individuality, creativity and critical-thinking skills to fully prepare them for future scholastic, civic and personal success. The school is committed to building a diverse student body and proudly recognizes that current students reside on 14 different towns and have a variety of learning styles and personal experiences. Among the current 144 students at Mill Falls, there are 9 primary languages other than English spoken.

Until now, Montessori education in New Hampshire has only been available in the private sector with an annual tuition often too costly for many families to consider. Mill Falls, like all other public schools, offers a tuition-free option for residents of New Hampshire. The 2015/16 School Year marks Mill Falls fourth year of operation.
