Miles E. Gerrish, 69: Man of faith, Central Grad, basketball stand-out, cherished his family

HOOKSETT, NH ā€“ Miles E. Gerrish, 69, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 after a short illness at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

Born May 20, 1949, he was son of the late Marvin and Leona Gerrish. He enjoyed 32-Ā½ years of marriage with Susan Gael (Kace) Gerrish, and was proud father to their son, Matthew (Matt) Miles Gerrish.

Raised in Manchester, he graduated from Central High School and Saint Anselm College. He later went on to study at Lakeland College and California Coast University. He was employed at Marden Rehabilitation of Ohio, where he was Director of Business Development for the country.

A devout Christian, Miles loved God and found great comfort in his faith. Miles loved sports and working out; he played professional basketball in Europe, and even tried out for the Celtics. In his down time, he enjoyed reading. Most of all, he was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Susan (Sue) Gerrish; his son, Matthew (Matt) Gerrish; his sister, Ann Gosselin and her husband, Donald; his nephews, Michael and Mark, and niece Michelle; as well as several great nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 with a gathering from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. with a celebration of life at 12 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
