MANCHESTER, NH  — Melissa Pomeroy, Vice President, Business Information Systems Manager of St. Mary’s Bank has been recognized as a 2017 Rising Star by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and The Warren Group.

“Successful leaders encourage the people around them to combine their efforts, talents, and insights and inspire those people to work together,” says CCUA President Paul Gentile. “These awards acknowledge the upcoming leaders who hold themselves to a higher standard.”

Pomeroy joined St. Mary’s Bank in 2014 and used her 15 years of project management experience to lead the year-long conversion of the credit union’s core processing system. She has since implemented and continues to lead St. Mary’s Bank’s data analytics.

“Melissa’s ability to manage project details, big and small, and bring a team together was pivotal during our processing system conversion,” explains Ian Lucy, Executive Director of Operations and IT at St. Mary’s Bank. “She strives to enhance our operations and improve our member experience. No one is more deserving of this award that honors those who go above and beyond.”

The Credit Union Rising Star awards honor outstanding New England credit union employees under the age of 50 who make notable impact in their institutions or the credit union industry. This year’s awards were presented April 27 in Boxborough, Massachusetts.
