CANDIA, NH – Matthew C. Hawes, 24, of Candia, died January 22, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Manchester on October 12, 1993 to James and Nancy (Pascoe) Hawes. He lived in Candia for most of his life.

Matt was involved in Candia Scouting for 13 years within Pack and Troop 120, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in 2011. He graduated from Manchester Central High School and attended Manchester Community College

Matthew was employed at Mill Metals in Manchester where he worked as a welder.

Matty will always be remembered as a hard working, caring individual who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing or taking a dip in his pond.

The family includes his parents of Candia; three siblings, Jennifer Hawes of Portsmouth and Michael Hawes and Andrew Hawes, both of Candia; his maternal grandmother, Judith (Porter) Pascoe of Newington, CT and maternal grandfather, Arthur E. Pascoe of Vernon, CT; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday, January 27, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed immediately at 1:30 p.m. by a brief memorial service at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
