
SALEM, NH – A man was arrested after trying to use fake documents and a Manchester address to obtain a NH Driver’s license.
NH State Police arrested a man currently identified as Encarnacion Hernandez, 27, of Lawrence, Mass., Aug. 6 at approximately 11:02 a.m. after staff at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Salem alerted state police that he was attempting to use false documentation.
Troopers confirmed that the documents Hernandez provided were fraudulent, and that he was actually a resident of Lawrence, Mass., not Manchester, as listed on his documents.
Hernandez was charged with tampering with public records and unsworn falsification. He refused bail and was held at the Hillsborough County House of Correction pending arraignment Aug. 7.
State police Troopers were assisted by the Salem Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.
