MANCHESTER, NH. – Accused murder suspect Joel Martin waived extradition in Boston Municipal Court Monday morning, and agreed to be transported to New Hampshire for arraignment where he will be charged with second-degree murder in a May 9 fatal stabbing in Manchester.

The warrant for his arrest issued by Manchester Police alleges that Martin, 26, recklessly caused Darrell Robinson’s death by stabbing him with a knife at Club Drynk in Manchester on May 9. Robinson was pronounced dead shortly after the stabbing, which happened around the time the bar closed at 1 a.m.

Martin was arrested several hours later as he was leaving a Boston hospital where he sought treatment for an injury.  His arraignment will likely be scheduled for Tuesday morning at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division in Manchester.

The Manchester Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing of Darrell Robinson. Detectives are also seeking any available videos or photos from inside the club at the time of the assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711, or call the Manchester Police Crimeline at 603-624-4040.

We’ll bring you more information from court as it becomes available.
