March 14 Sagamore Street shooting ruled homicide, victim identified

MANCHESTER, NH — The Attorney General has ruled the March 14 shooting death on Sagamore Street of a city man as homicide.

According to results of an autopsy conducted by Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval, the shooting death of Kevin Denbow, 37, was caused by a gunshot wound to the chest, and the manner of death was homicide.

As used by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, homicide is defined as the killing of one person by another.

Police have said that at about 3 a.m. on March 14, officers were dispatched to 219 Sagamore St. for a reported shooting and found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.  He died from his injuries. Another man suffered a stab wound police described as not life-threatening.

Police at the time said they had identified all parties involved in the incident and there is nothing to suggest there is a threat to the general public.

No other information has been released about the circumstances surrounding the homicide.
