MANCHESTER, NH – A Manchester woman died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 293 on August 14, 2017.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. NH State Police Trooper S. Fuller responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash north on Interstate 293, north of exit 7. It had been reported that a vehicle had lost control and crashed into the woods. Trooper Fuller along with Manchester Fire located the vehicle standing vertical on its front end leaning against a tree. The vehicle was described as a 2008 Nissan Versa. The operator was identified as Amanda Primeau, 31, of Manchester.

Rescuers worked to free Ms. Primeau from the vehicle, she received treatment of her injuries at the scene by Manchester Fire and EMS. She was then transported to the Elliot Hospital for injuries suffered from the crash, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve of the roadway and control was lost. Speed appears to be a factor, however all aspects of the incident remain under investigation. The right lane of I293 was closed for approximately three hours while Troopers worked on the scene.

Assisting New Hampshire Troopers from Troop B were members of the Manchester Fire Department and EMS.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to contact Tr. S. Francois at the New Hampshire State Police – Troop B Barracks at 603-223-4381.
