Manchester SWAT standoff ends with self-inflicted fatal gunshot

SWAT Hooksett-307MANCHESTER, NH – An incident in Hooksett involving a Manchester Police  SWAT team surrounding a home at 47 Mammoth Road in Hooksett, ended with the death of a barricaded subject.

Homes in the area were evacuated during the three-hour standoff.

Manchester Police say few details are available but dd confirm that a man, 33, who had been barricaded in the house, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

SWAT could be heard ordering a subject to come to the front door and was heard firing multiple rounds of tear gas in to the house, breaking windows and ordering the suspect out. At one point it appeared multiple shots were fired.Screen Shot 2014-11-07 at 5.31.11 PM

At approximately 6 p.m. an ambulance came on scene, and transported one person from the scene with a gun shot wound and life threatening injuries.

SWAT Hooksett-286Manchester Police crime scene van and Hooksett crime scene continue the investigation. An official at the scene did verify the suspect was wanted, but could not specify for what charges.
