CONCORD, NH – Ryan Freeman, 27, of Manchester, was sentenced on March 1 to 57 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of bank robbery. Freeman was also sentenced to three years of supervised release, which will begin when he is released from prison.
Information based on court filings and statements made at the change of plea hearing established that Freeman entered the TD Bank on South River Road in Bedford on July 26, 2015, approached a teller, demanded $10,000, and threatened to “blow her brains out” if she did not comply.
The teller turned over money to Freeman and he left the bank. Witnesses saw him leave the bank in a gold Volvo, which was later recovered after being abandoned near Exit 4 on Interstate 293. Images from the bank clearly established that Freeman committed the robbery.
The case was investigated by the Bedford Police Department with the assistance of the Manchester Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police Forensics Laboratory and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Don Feith.
