MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Hockey Roos program announces its 4th season of youth field hockey program this summer.
Monday evenings starting June 17 at Manchester West High School’s Turf Field from 5 to 6 p.m. will be “Summer Jump!” a free and open program to 4th through 8th graders. The program has plenty of skills instruction for newcomers and fun games run by the Manchester High School
Varsity coaches and their players. The program is absolutely free and open to boys and girls. Loaner sticks are available to all participants.
After the initial session, the program will be held every Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the following dates and locations:
- June 24: Livingston
- July 1: West Turf
- July 8: West Turf
- July 15: Memorial Turf
- July 22: West Turf
- July 29: West Turf
- Aug 5: Livingston
Manchester Hockey Roos is a community service extension of the Varsity Field Hockey Programs at Memorial and Central High Schools and is a collaboration with local college coaches. The goal of the Hockey Roos organization is to reduce or eliminate the barriers to trying and participating in field hockey at the youth level. The founders of the organization would like to see participants get active, enjoy the sport and have fun while doing it.
