Bonfire at Bedford Village Inn

THURSDAYBedford Village Inn will host a benefit Bonfire for Greater Bedford Womenade on October 8, from 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. With each glass of wine, or event signature drink purchased, proceeds will be donated to Womenade. Additionally, BVI will match any donation of $100 or more with a $25 gift card to BVI. And, any person who makes a donation of $1,000 or more will receive an overnight stay at BVI, including dinner and breakfast the next morning. Greater Bedford Womenade provides immediate, short-term financial assistance to members of the local community in crisis, recognizing other means of support may not be readily available. Relax in Adirondack chairs and enjoy beautiful New Hampshire fall weather while supporting a great cause.


FYI Bedford Village Inn’s Bonfire is held on Friday and Saturday nights in October and November from 6:30-10 p.m. There’s live music, a small fall menu and cozy fire. No admission charge or need to RSVP.

KC’s Rib Shack is hosting Oktoberfest on Saturday October 10 from Noon- 6 p.m. There will be brats, potato salad, pretzels, and prizes outside at the Tiki Bar!

Two New Hampshire apple orchards made USA Today’s list of 10 Best Apple Orchards in the U.S., based on reader voting. Gould Hill Farm, Contoocook came in at No. 8 and Alyson’s Orchard, Walpole at  No. 10.

Save the date! FEEDNH.org is hosting Scary, Scary Night at Copper Door to benefit City Year on October 29. There’s two levels of tickets which include drinks and heavy hors d’oeurves, plus live music, a fortune teller, photo booth, and costume contest. Too cool many details to list, so check out here. Pumpkin cheesecake at Finesse Pastries

Finesse Pastries has a new fall menu chock full of seasonal, sweet and savory treats. Look for a maple walnut Gateau, pumpkin croissants, maple caramel eclairs, pumpkin Napoleon and maple macaroons, among other things, including a wide selection hearty soups.

October means the Manchester Farmers’ Market now closes at 6 p.m. Stock up on local produce, fresh picked apples, winter squash, meats, eggs, honey, and bakery items through the month of October. The market is Thursdays at 105 Concord Street next to Victory Park.
