Celebrations Kitchen is getting ready to open on Second Street.

MANCHESTER, NHCelebrations Kitchen is getting ready to open at 1017 Second Street in the former Amato’s location. This new restaurant is part of Celebrations Catering, a longtime New Hampshire business and will hold the catering kitchen and the restaurant.

Red Arrow Diner announced that SiriusXM will take over the Manchester diner for two days prior to the first primary, scheduled for February 9, 2016. A popular spot for presidential candidates on the campaign trail, the diner will be renamed the “SiriusXM Red Arrow Diner” and be a broadcast home for SiriusXM political channels, including Patriot (125) and Progress (127). According to a press release, SiriusXM listeners will have the opportunity to participate in political discussions during live broadcasts with SiriusXM talk hosts and their special guests. Listeners in attendance will also be treated to a complimentary meal selected from a specially-designed “SiriusXM Red Arrow Diner New Hampshire Primary Menu.”

Funktion has a new fall menu that now offers big plates, small plates and bites and sides. The menu for big plates includes a bleu cheese hanger steak ($17), monkfish ratatouille ($15) and pan seared tofu ($14). Other items include a grilled cheese and bacon ($8), pulled pork crostini ($10) and maple glazed Brussel sprouts ($6).

Whiskey lovers won’t want to miss the annual release of the “Antique Collection” from Buffalo Trace Distillery, now being served at The Foundry. The highly anticipated collection will once again feature five limited-release whiskeys of various ages, recipes and proofs; George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye, Eagle Rare 17 Year Old and Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old.
