MANCHESTER, NH – We’ve got information on a new restaurant, a new chef and new store openings. Count on us for all the food scene news in and around Manchester.

There’s a new restaurant at 36 Lowell Street. Gale Motor Co. Eatery will open for dinner tomorrow, April 7. Hours are 4-10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.  The menu, created by chef and owner David Spagnuolo includes starters like short rib dumplings with corn puree and a miso demi ($7), a Cuban egg roll ($3), and a seared scallop with miso aioli, charred baby bok choy and bacon jam ($6). Entrees include a hanger steak with parmesan grits, frissee and a mushroom demi ($18), spaghetti squash primavera ($15) and bucattini meatballs ($17). The name reaches back to the buildings roots when it was an auto dealer in the 1920s.

Check it out. Whole Foods opens at 121 S River Road, Bedford on Friday, April 8 with the bread breaking ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Check out the calendar of store events for April here, and don’t miss the in-house pub.

New chef and menu. Harold’s Square in Londonderry  has a new chef. Mike Cook, formerly of Whippersnappers and the Concord Food Co-op has taken the helm and has revamped the menu to include entrees in addition to the popular sandwiches, pizza and salads. New entrees include lemon pepper poached haddock ($14), slow smoked baked beans and crispy fried sausage ($13) and maple bourbon braised short ribs ($18). New appetizers include fried pickles ($6) and a charcuterie plate ($20).

If you haven’t already, this is a must do. April 28 is the last day to dine at The Quill at SNHU until fall. The last meal will be classical French and is priced at $28 per person. Dinners are multiple courses, prix fixe with your choice. Dinner is served between 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. There is only one seating and reservations are strongly recommended. Note: a 15 percent fee will be added to your bill, a donation to the Culinary Scholarship Fund. You are welcome to leave a tip for the students, but it has to be cash. Also, The Quill has a full cash bar, but you are welcome to bring your own wine and there is no corking fee. Call (603) 629-4608 for details and reservations.

Hot dog lovers heaven. Billy’s Sports Bar will have a build-your-own-hot dog bar during all Red Sox games.

Breakfast is the most important meal. The Foundry is not just about fine dining. Check out these homemade maple caramel glazed cinnamon rolls, served at brunch on Sundays, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Priced at $25 per person, and includes omelettes, scrambled eggs, Belgian waffles, French toast, home fries, local bacon and  sausage, quiche, country fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, homemade pastries, fresh fruit, cheese, smoked salmon, oysters, shrimps cocktail, prime rib and more.

Get your fix. Brick House Drive-In in Hooksett is open for the season. Get your fill of everything from a grilled cheese sandwich  ($2.15) to a homemade meatball grinder ($6.75) and a sea scallop plated with fries and cole slaw ($20.35).
