MANCHESTER, NH – Restaurants and bars are starting to dust off their patio furniture and put out spring menus. Have a favorite patio, let us know!

Everything goes with baseball.  The Patio at the Hilton Garden Inn opens April 14. Overlooking Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, home of the Fisher Cats, The Patio offers prime seating for games, and a menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and entrees. Look for P.E.I steamed mussels ($13), lobster bisque ($7), lobster roll ($16) and steak tips ($20).

…and watching golfers come up the 6th. The Deck at the Derryfield is now open. Live entertainment, bar and a menu of salads, entrees and sandwiches. Check out the fried fish tacos ($11.99), bourbon marinated turkey tips ($12.99) and the French Dip ($10.99).

New lunch eats downtown. Hanover Street Chophouse has a new lunch menu. Look for steak house meatloaf ($12), NY style Reuben ($10), pan roasted salmon ($13) and customized box lunches ($16) that include your choice of starter, entrée and side.

The happiest hour. The Foundry now has happy hour, Monday through Friday, 4-6 p.m. There will be beer, wine and snack specials, like $4 beers, $6 wines and $2 oysters, plus more.

Don’t miss this new restaurant. In case you missed it, there’s a new restaurant at 36 Lowell Street. Gale Motor Co. Eatery opened last week and is now serving dinner from 4-10 p.m.  The menu, created by chef and owner David Spagnuolo, includes starters like short rib dumplings with corn puree and a miso demi ($7), a Cuban egg roll ($3), and a seared scallop with miso aioli, charred baby bok choy and bacon jam ($6). Entrees include a hanger steak with parmesan grits, frissee and a mushroom demi ($18), spaghetti squash primavera ($15) and bucattini meatballs ($17). The name reaches back to the buildings roots when it was an auto dealer in the 1920s.

Funktion spinach berry saladKeeping it fresh with a new menu. Funktion has a new spring menu. New additions include a spinach and berry salad,  garlic shrimp skewers, BBQ steak tips, and Greek chicken.

It’s not too early to be thinking about Mother’s Day. Cotton is open from Noon- 6 p.m. and taking reservations. Also, Bedford Village Inn is taking reservations for brunch buffet in the Grand Hall and dinner service. The Derryfield is accepting reservations for its brunch buffet.
