Man wanted on warrant for robbery arrested for drug possession with intent to sell

MANCHESTER, NH – A city man wanted on an outstanding burglary warrant faces new charges after police picked him up on Cedar Street, and discovered more loot in his backpack.

On June 26 at about 1:45 p.m. Officers Michael McGee and Ryan Hardy of the Community Police Division spotted Tyvon Watson, 20, no fixed address,  walking on Cedar Street. The officers recognized Watson from prior contact, so they spoke with him about the outstanding burglary warrant.

Watson was placed into custody and in a search that followed, police discovered Watson was in possession of $1,100 in cash,  as well as a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana, plus two cell phones and an electronic scale. The cash and small bag of crack cocaine (.6 grams) were located in his pocket, while the bag of marijuana (44.9 grams) and electronic scale were located inside of his backpack.

All items were seized and placed into evidence.

Watson was charged with possession of a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. He is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on June 27, 2017.
