Man wanted in connection with home invasion, assault on Harvard Street

MANCHESTER, NH — Police are searching for a man who they believe broke into an apartment on Harvard Street March 4 and assaulted the resident using a weapon.

Wanted is Joseph O’Rourke, 35, of Manchester, who police say is one of two men who entered the residence, on the 300 block of Harvard Street, and robbed and assaulted the 33-year-old resident.

 Responding officers located the victim inside of the apartment with several lacerations as a result of the assault, which involved a weapon.

According to the police reports, two masked men caused several lacerations to the victim during the robbery. A follow-up investigation resulted in detectives issuing an arrest warrant for O’Rourke.

Weapons were allegedly used in the incident. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of O’Rourke should  contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711. He is currently wanted for burglary, robbery, first-degree assault, second degree assault and felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
