Man sought in bank scam used fake ID based on a real customer’s information

Police say the suspect tried to withdraw $5,000 with a fake driver's license.

GOFFSTOWN, NH – A man using a fake ID created using a real customer’s information is sought by Goffstown Police after he attempted to withdraw money from a Citizens Bank in Goffstown Monday.

On June 5, 2017 at approximately 1 p.m., officers from the Goffstown Police Department responded to Citizens Bank, located at 11 Church St., Goffstown for a report of a person attempting to withdraw $5,000 dollars on a customer’s out-of-state account using a counterfeit Massachusetts drivers license.

The driver’s license presented contained all of the victim’s personal information for the suspect to withdraw funds from the victim’s account. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-5 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a white shirt with tie and black hoodie, brown eyes, bald with short black hair on the sides, wearing silver glasses with black detail at the temple of the glasses frame.

According to Citizens Bank, there is a group of people in the area attempting to withdraw funds from customer’s accounts using counterfeit driver’s licenses created with customers’ personal information. If you can identify this suspect please call Goffstown Police 603-497-4858.
