MANCHESTER, NH – A burglar with a baseball bat is charged with smashing the front window of Pigeon’s Market to get a 12-pack of beer and some cigarettes.

Police responded to the market, 168 Wilson St., on Dec. 4, 2014 at about 12:20 a.m. for a burglary call. Sgt. Al Aldenberg located a man at the intersection of Wilson and Somerville streets carrying a baseball bat and a 12-pack of Heineken. He was later identified as Mark Henry, 55.

The lone witness who called in the burglary told police that a white male had smashed the front store window with a baseball bat and had left the store with the beer.

Henry was taken into custody and charged with the burglary. The officer also located three packs of cigarettes, also allegedly taken from the store, on Henry during a search. He will appear in the 9th Circuit Court of Manchester on December 4th, 2014.
