Man seriously injured in 2-car Pine Street crash

MANCHESTER, NH — On Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 7:14 p.m. the Manchester Police Department, Manchester Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Lake Avenue and Pine Street. When units arrived on scene, they located two motor vehiclethat had collided at this intersection.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 2015 KIA Optima operated by a 62-year-old Manchester man, was traveling west on Lake Avenue when it collided with a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville operated by a 27-year-old Manchester woman who was traveling north on Pine Street.

The operator of the KIA suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The operator of the Pontiac and her three juvenile passengers were treated for minor injuries. The identities of all persons involved are being withheld pending the investigation.  Police restricted traffic in the area for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Unit Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Team. Anyone with information regarding this crash is urged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
