MANCHESTER, NH – On Monday October 31 at 4 p.m., a Manchester police officer observed the driver of a gray pick-up truck in the area of Wilson Street and Lake Avenue commit several motor vehicle violations while speaking on his cell phone. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the operator, Donald Janes, 52, of Hazen Drive in Bedford.
Janes told the officer that his driver’s license was suspended, and at that time the officer noted drug packaging paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. The search resulted in locating a baggie containing crack cocaine and a second baggie containing marijuana.
Donald Janes was scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 3 in the 9th Circuit District Manchester to answer to the charges of possession of a controlled drug (felony) and possession of a controlled drug (misdemeanor).
