
UPDATE: 11:15 p.m. — Lt. Brian O’Keefe sent the following update on the officer-involved shooting:
“There is no threat to the public as the suspect is in custody. I can confirm the suspect was not struck by a bullet. He was most likely injured from shattering glass or other shrapnel as a result of the incident.”
MANCHESTER, NH — Members of the Manchester Police Department Detective Unit are investigating a scene on Flaherty Lane and Hecker Street after an officer involved shooting occurred approximately 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 6. The area between Hecker and Schuyler streets and Main Street to Notre Dame Avenue is closed to motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at this time.
Neither the officers involved nor the suspect sustained serious injuries, according to police. However, the suspect has been transported to an area hospital for his non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident.
