MANCHESTER, NH – Jeffrey Holmes, 46, of Manchester, was arrested by NH State Police July 30, charged with felony receiving stolen property, felony reckless conduct and disobeying an officer, after leading police on a high-speed chase from Massachusetts to New Hampshire in a stolen Jeep.

At approximately 11:32 p.m. on Thursday New Hampshire State Police notified area Troopers along Interstate 93 that Massachusetts State Police were in pursuit of a stolen 2008 white Jeep Cherokee traveling north at a high rate of speed, after the vehicle had crossed into New Hampshire.

Several Troopers responded in an attempt to apprehend Holmes in the area of exit 3.  Within a few moments Sgt. Bryan Trask of the New Hampshire State Police spotted the vehicle in the area of Exit 4 in Londonderry.  Sgt. Trask attempted to stop Holmes, who continued to speed away. Assisting Troopers deployed spike strips just south of Exit 5 in order to stop Holmes, but he managed to avoid the spike strips and continued northbound on Interstate 93.

State Police continued to pursue Holmes on 93 into Manchester, where he was eventually stopped in the area of the Exit 6 off ramp.

He was charged and held on $10,000 cash bail at Valley Street Jail pending arraignment.
