Manchester PD LogoManchester police are investigating an incident that left a city man with a fractured skull.

On July 27 at about 6:30 p.m., Manchester Police Officer Scott Ardita responded to the area of 494 Wilson St. for a report of an unconscious male on the sidewalk. The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was being treated by medical personnel for non-life threatening injuries to his head.

Manchester Police detectives also responded to the hospital and have determined the victim, age 32, was engaged in a verbal argument prior to a physical assault, causing him to lose consciousness and suffer a fractured skull from falling to the ground.

Manchester Police Sgt. Brian O’Keefe said at this time police are following up on several leads, but details are limited as detectives continue to investigate and determine if charges will be filed against the person(s) responsible for the assault.
