MANCHESTER, NH – Steven Currier, 32, of Manchester, was arrested July 2 following a disturbance outside the 7-Eleven at Maple and Bridge streets. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting arrest.
Police say at about 1:20 a.m. a report was made of a suspicious person in the area. Responding units arrived to find several men outside the store. When police approached the group one of the men, later identified as Currier, fled the area on foot. As officers chased him, they observed Currier take something from his waistband an toss it over a fence.
After a brief foot pursuit, Currier was apprehended and taken into custody. Police located a handgun in the area where Currier was seen to toss something.
