MANCHESTER, NH – William Gosselin, 56, of Cilley Road, was arrested Oct. 10, charged with being intoxicated and making threats to his wife with a loaded rifle.
Police were dispatched to the residence at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic dispute. The 55-year-old female victim told police that her husband had arrived home and engaged in a verbal argument with her, and that he was intoxicated. She told police he exited the residence and went into the garage, returning with a long rifle. The victim told police she refused to let him in the residence, and that Gosselin pushed her out of the way with his hands before pointing the rifle at her, threatening to shoot her. He then walked into a bedroom before leaving the residence with a second rifle.
Once outside, he allegedly fired a round from one of the rifles into the ground and fled the area.
Gosselin was located minutes later at the Davignon Club, 218 Wilson Street. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with reckless conduct, simple assault and criminal threatening. Officers recovered a shotgun from his vehicle, as well as a box of ammunition. He was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court on October 13, 2015.
