Man charged with July assault of homeless man, another suspect sought

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police have made an arrest in a violent assault which took place in July.

Nathan Devine, 31, was taken into custody on August 8, 2019 and charged with second-degree assault in regards to an attack on a man outside the New Horizon’s Homeless Shelter. 

On July 1, 2019, the victim was found lying in front of the shelter, bleeding from his ear.

He had multiple serious injuries including a fractured skull and brain bleed, he was rushed to a local hospital.

Through interviews, police were able to determine this was the second fight the victim had gotten into that day. It was reported that the first altercation happened near Down the Block convenience store and as a result, the victim was stabbed. The victim was found to have lacerations on his hand and shoulder that doctors determined to have happened earlier.

Through their investigation, police were able to identify the suspect in the first assault as Anthony Rodriguez, 36. A warrant for first-degree assault was issued for Rodriguez on August 7, 2019 Anyone with any information in regards to Rodriguez’s whereabouts is asked to call Manchester Police at 668-8711.
