MANCHESTER, NH — Bail was revoked for John Gebo of Manchester during a court appearance June 13. It was at least the fourth criminal arraignment for the Manchester man since May 2, according to this story in the Eagle-Tribune.

Gebo was arrested by Manchester Police June 9, charged with “felon in possession of a firearm,” among other charges, for allegedly firing four bullets into a residence on West Street, which police say was captured on video.

Gebo was also arraigned last week for two charges of theft and a single charge of burglary in Derry, in which he is accused of breaking into a home to burglarize it when he was caught in the act, after the homeowner arrived with her young children while he was still there.

Judge William H. Lyons ruled Monday that he found “no condition or set of conditions that will protect the safety of the public” and revoked Gebo’s bail on all six crimes he allegedly committed in May. Gebo had been ordered held on $10,000 bail in Derry at his arraignment on May 5.

According to the story Gebo has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2000, including a conviction for possession of a deadly weapon in 2009, for which he was sentenced to three and a half to seven years in state prison. Initially thought by police to be homeless, Gebo stated at his Derry arraignment that he was living at 336 Amherst St. in Manchester. Court documents show both that address and another at 237 Spruce St.

He asked the judge for leniency following the bail revocation, and disputed he was a flight risk, saying, “I may have made some mistakes in my life; however, your honor, I don’t wish to be that person anymore. Being incarcerated does nothing for me or the community.”
