MANCHESTER, NH – Officer Andrew Choi and Officer Abdesselam Baddaoui were leaving police headquarters approximately 2 p.m. on May 18 when they observed a man in front of Gill Stadium, later identified as Steven Clement, 57, of Manchester. He was standing on the northwest corner of Valley and Maple streets when he began unzipping his pants as if he were going to urinate on the sidewalk, which is located diagonally across the street from police headquarters.

Mr. Clement instead exposed his genitals and buttocks to passing motorists when he dropped his pants and began defecating. Several businesses are located within three hundred feet of where he had soiled the sidewalk. One such business, Granite State Escape, is located directly across the street from where he defecated. The officers observed a school bus parked in front of Granite State Escape while they spoke with Mr Clement. They were able to stop Mr. Clement from continuing his action before the kids exited the business.

The man was identified as Steven Clement, 57 of Manchester, New Hampshire. Clement was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, public urination or defecation and indecent exposure/lewdness. Manchester Department of Public Works responded to the scene to clean up the feces. He is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on May 19, 2017.
