Officers Matthew O’Connor, Rob Megowen and Konrad Jaworowski were conducting a wanted check for Michael MacDonald, 28, of Manchester, at 263 Manchester St., when they observed a motor vehicle pull away from the rear of the address.

They initiated a motor vehicle stop at Hanover and Union streets and spoke with the two men inside the 2003 Buick, including MacDonald and his passenger, Richard Case, 50, also of Manchester.

MacDonald originally used a false name, but the officers quickly confirmed his true identity and asked him to exit the vehicle to place him into custody. Case also exited the vehicle and was ultimately placed into custody and charged with possession of controlled drug after the officer located small amount of a substance believed to be methamphetamine inside of his backpack.

Officers also found methamphetamine inside of a bag located on the driver’s side door panel where MacDonald was seated, so MacDonald was charged with the original arrest warrant (robbery), as well as disobeying a police officer and possession of controlled drug.

MacDonald and Case were scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on June 4, 2018.
