MANCHESTER, NH – Police have announced the arrest of a city man in connection with the June 2 stabbing, described as a “brutal attack,” of a woman he is acquainted with.

Carlos Alden, 27, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder for the stabbing on Sunday. Police say the woman was stabbed in the head, face and body multiple times in the early morning hours. She was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
A K-9 track was conducted Sunday in the area of Malvern and East High streets, where police found Alden, who was taken into custody.
Alden is scheduled to be in Hillsborough Superior Court – North on June 3, 2019. The name of the victim was withheld by police.
