MANCHESTER, NH – On January 23, 2021, Manchester Police arrested Ryan Cooper, 29, in connection with a stolen vehicle and multiple related police pursuits.
On January 19, 2021, Manchester Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim had gone into the Sunoco at 1265 S. Willow St and left his car running. When he came back out his car was gone. The car was spotted several times by officers, but each time they tried to make a motor vehicle stop, the driver sped off. Police followed the vehicle, but due to the driver’s speed, which at times exceeded 90 mph, the pursuits were called off in the interest of public safety.
On the morning of January 20, 2021, the car was located behind Burlington Coat Factory. It was unoccupied but running.
Cooper was arrested on multiple charges to include 1 count of theft by unauthorized taking (felony), 3 counts of reckless conduct (felony), and 2 counts of disobeying a police officer (misdemeanor). At the time of his arrest, Cooper was found to have methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl on him. He was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled drug.
He held on $200 cash or surety bail and released after making bail. His court date is yet to be determined.
