MANCHESTER, NH – Members of the Manchester Police Department responded to 235 Cameron St. on Feb. 18 at about 9:30 a.m. for a reported domestic incident involving Robert Conway, 26, no current permanent residence.

Initial reports allege that Conway allegedly assaulted a family member, threatened to burn the house down, and then stated that the police would have to destroy the house and shoot him in order to get him into custody, before locking himself in a bedroom.

Family members were evacuated from the residence and members of Manchester Police on-duty SWAT personnel established a perimeter while attempting to contact Conway. The Bearcat was deployed as a precautionary measure, since family members reported several firearms were secured in the residence.

After a brief time Conway indicated he would exit the residence and he was taken into custody peacefully.

Conway was placed into custody at approximately 10:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of simple assault (domestic violence-related) and held on a preventative detention based on the Saturday incident. Conway will be arraigned on February 21, 2017.
