MANCHESTER, NH – A homeless man was charged with prowling after he was spotted going through a vehicle at the Radisson Hotel parking garage early Tuesday morning.

Shawn Dionne was charged with prowling – and it’s not the first time he’s been caught allegedly trying to take things from a truck. Dionne faced similar charges in a November incident, when he was accused of trying to break into a truck on Hanover Street.

On March 31 police were called to the Radisson at about 3 a.m. by a security guard for a report of a suspicious person. Officers Meghan Grant and William Dann spoke with security officers Nael Alrudaye and David Carswell who had observed a man in the garage rummaging through a blue Toyota pick-up truck.

The man was identified by police as Shawn Dionne, 45, no fixed address. Police determined Dionne had no legitimate purpose to be inside the parking garage during the early morning hours, so he was charged with loitering/prowling.

He was not charged with theft because the owner of the vehicle could not be located, therefore it is unknown if anything had been taken from the vehicle. Dionne was transported to police headquarters, processed, and then issued a summons to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on April 30, 2015.
