David Hatch, 30, of Manchester, was charged June 28 with disorderly conduct after he was arrested by bike patrol officers.
Police were on patrol in the area of Old Granite and Elm streets as part of an initiative to step up patrols around local night spots during peak hours when at about 12:30 a.m. Officers Mike Caron and Cliff Ellston say they observed Hatch walking in the center of the road.
Hatch allegedly started shouting profanities directly at the officers. When police stopped him for walking down the center of the road and asked him for identification, police allege that Hatch continued using profanity.
Hatch then proceeded to yell more profanities at two women as they passed by the scene. Because the women told police they felt offended by his action, Hatch was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Hatch remained uncooperative once in police custody and refused to have his photo taken during the booking process, so he was taken to Hillsborough County House of Correction.
