MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police met with a resident of the 200 block of Harrison Street at 12:10 a.m. on August 14, 2017 after the resident called to report two men breaking into vehicles. Officer Erik Slocum spoke with the man who provided a description of the clothing both suspects were wearing.

Officer Slocum located a man who matched the description of one of the suspects on Harrison Street, near Russell Street. He exited his cruiser and spoke with the man who identified himself as Ian Burch, 23, of Manchester. The officer located several used hypodermic needles and loose change on Burch during a pat down search for weapons. Burch pulled away from the officer as he informed him of the arrest, so he was transitioned to the ground and handcuffed.

Burch was charged with resisting arrest/detention and loitering/prowling. He appeared in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 14, 2017. The second suspect was not located.
